Tesselbit — Exams & Coding Labs for Higher Education
Tesselbit is an exam and academic-records platform built specifically for higher education
(colleges, universities, and autonomous engineering institutions). It covers the semester
exam lifecycle in one workspace: authoring question papers, running online, offline, or hybrid
exams, human-reviewed evaluation, result publication, and browser-based coding labs. It is not designed for K-12 schools.
What it does
- Question paper authoring with reviewer sign-off before an exam can be scheduled.
- Online, offline, and hybrid exams, with scanned answer booklets for paper exams.
- AI-assisted evaluation under human control: AI proposes marks, a teacher accepts or overrides them.
- Result publication and university academic records, including SGPA/CGPA and backlogs.
- Code labs and notebooks for programming and data courses, run in isolated sandboxes with hidden test cases.
- Sign-in only for people the institution has listed, using Google or Microsoft accounts.
- Not an ERP: your campus system stays, and data moves by spreadsheet import and export.
Target Audience
Colleges, universities, autonomous institutes, and engineering colleges. Built for Controllers of Examinations (CoE), Deans of Academic Affairs, HODs, and faculty evaluators.
Status
We are currently testing the platform with IIIT Kalyani (Indian Institute of Information Technology Kalyani).
